Originally named "Wayne Station" after Anthony Wayne, a US Army Officer during the American Revolutionary War, the village is located in DuPage and Kane Counties, and has a population of roughly 2,500 residents.
With Wayne sitting in DuPage and Kane counties, it is highly recommended that you have your home tested for Radon Gas. The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) assigned DuPage County Radon Zone 2. Zone 2 predicts an average indoor radon level between 2 and 4 pCi/L which is within the recommended levels assigned by the EPA. Kane county has been assigned Zone 1. Zone 1 has the highest potential for levels greater than 4 pCi/L.
2-4 pCi/L is the equivalent of smoking about 4-8 cigarettes per day. This is enough reason alone to have your home tested! We offer a very accurate 48hr test with a continuous radon monitor. At the end of the test, the results are ready and will be emailed within the hour. No need to wait for lab results!
