The city of St Charles, IL is in Kane and DuPage counties. Roughly 40 miles west of Chicago with a population of 33,000 as of 2012. The official slogan you see above is named after the Fox River that runs through the center of the town. St. Charles, IL was the location of the Native American community for the chief of the Pottawatomie that lived in the area. A city park bearing that name now sits there overlooking the river.
With St. Charles sitting in DuPage and Kane counties, it is highly recommended that you have your home tested for Radon Gas. The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) assigned DuPage County Radon Zone 2. Zone 2 predicts an average indoor radon level between 2 and 4 pCi/L which is within the recommended levels assigned by the EPA. Kane county has been assigned Zone 1. Zone 1 has the highest potential for levels greater than 4 pCi/L. 4-8 pCi/L is the equivalent of smoking about 8-16 cigarettes per day. This is enough reason alone to have your home tested!
We offer a very accurate 48hr test with a continuous radon monitor. At the end of the test, the results are ready and will be emailed within the hour. No need to wait for lab results!
