Roselle was first incorporated in 1922 and named after Rosell Hough. Hough was the president of the Chicago and Pacific Railroad Company. It is rumored that he spent some money to change a land survey to show that a railroad should run through Roselle. The train schedule misprinted the name of the town on the rail line, giving Roselle its current name.
With Roselle sitting in DuPage and Cook counties, it is highly recommended that you have your home tested for Radon Gas. The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) assigned DuPage and Cook County Radon Zone 2. Zone 2 predicts an average indoor radon level between 2 and 4 pCi/L.
2-4 pCi/L is the equivalent of smoking about 4-8 cigarettes per day. This is enough reason alone to have your home tested! We offer a very accurate 48hr test with a continuous radon monitor. At the end of the test, the results are ready and will be emailed within the hour. No need to wait for lab results!
