Maple Park, IL is a village in DeKalb and Kane Counties. At the 2010 US census, it had a population of 1,300. The village was originally called Lodi, after Lodi, Lombardy, a comune in northern Italy. The name Maple Park comes from a nearby grove of sugar maple trees. Maple Park is the home to Kaneland High School whose mascot is a Knight.
